To say the least, Alfred Collins was significant addition to Texas Longhorns football.
The five-star defensive end out of Bastrop Cedar Creek High School chose the Longhorns over the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Oklahoma Sooners and the Baylor Bears. According to 247Sports, Collins is the No. 2 strong-side defensive end coming out of the 2020 class.
“With Alfred, it seems like we’ve been recruiting him for forever,” head coach Tom Herman said yesterday, according to a report in Sports Illustrated. “It’s been about two-and-a-half years. He’s from right here in Bastrop.
