Texas Longhorns men’s basketball is that much closer to earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Last night in Norman against the Oklahoma Sooners, with six seconds left on the clock, and as the Sooners held a two-point advantage, Oklahoma senior forward Kristian Doolittle stepped up to the foul line to take his shot. At that point, the Sooners crowd began chanting, “Texas sucks! Texas sucks! Texas sucks!” A weeks ago, that was certainly true.
But Doolittle missed both free throws. Texas redshirt freshman guard Brock Cunningham grabbed the rebound and passed it to junior guard Matt Coleman.
