On Monday’s episode of “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd, college football analyst claimed there handshake agreement between Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban and Alabama offensive coordinator-turned-Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian that the young disciple would take over for Saban when he decided to eventually hang up his hat.

“They did have an agreement, whether it was on paper or a handshake, with Steve Sarkisian to be the heir apparent,” Klatt said to Cowherd, according to 247Sports. “That is true. And Steve took the Texas job. And more power to him.
