Texas Longhorns women’s basketball associate head coach Johnnie Harris had a solid year helping lead first-year head coach Vic Schaefer to NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight round.
So good, in fact, the Auburn Tigers have officially acquired his services to lead the women’s team next season, 247Sports report. From 247Sports: “Considered an outstanding recruiter and a key part of Mississippi State’s success with Schaefer as head coach, Harris was the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association 2018 national assistant coach of the year. Harris helped Schaefer lead Mississippi State to a 221-62 record and five NCAA Tournament berths, including two NCAA Championship Game appearances.
