Bevo’s Daily Roundup: Kansas State pauses workouts as more athletes test positive for COVID-19

As 14 student-athletes were officially diagnosed with COVID0-19 last week, university officials, alongside county medical officials, halted voluntary workouts, 247Sports reports.

From 247Sports: “The 14 individuals who have tested positive are being medically managed according to current local, state, national, and CDC guidelines, which begins with self-isolation for 10 days and until the patient is without fever for 72 hours without medication ... . ... The department will continue to work closely and communicate with county and university health officials to evaluate the situation and continue best practices.”

Kansas State released a statement following the decision: “All student-athletes are required to follow the department’s return-to-campus policy which includes a 7-day stay-at-home recommendation and quarantine upon arrival in Manhattan and prior to testing.
