Bevo’s Daily Roundup: Houston ISD moving to initial fall virtual learning spells bad news for Texas HS football

Houston ISD is moving to virtual learning to start the school year, 247Sports reports.

From 247Sports: “Houston (Texas) ISD announced on Wednesday that it will begin its 2020-21 school year virtually on Sept. 8, with the virtual format lasting through at least Oct. 16. The district’s first day of face-to-face instruction is slated for Monday, Oct. 19, although there will be an option for individuals to choose remote instruction for the fall semester or entire school year if desired. As far as athletics are concerned, ‘student sporting events are tentatively scheduled for the fall, but HISD Athletics will adjust plans as needed if COVID-19 conditions change,’ per the district.
