Graduate transfer senior quarterback Jamie Newman, who left to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons to join the Georgia Bulldogs earlier this year, is opting out of the 2020 season.
That’s according to a recent report in 247Sports. From 247Sports: “[Newman is] skipping the 2020 season to train for the 2021 NFL Draft. When he announced that UGA would be his transfer destination at the first of the year, he immediately became the favorite to win the starting quarterback job. He gained some early steam as a potential Heisman Trophy Candidate.
