Bevo’s Daily Roundup: Four Longhorns receive all-conference honors

Here’s something to chew on: Did the Texas Longhorns get the shaft in Big 12 honors?

Just four Longhorns were recognized this year. Predictably, senior wide receiver Devin Duvernay, who led the nation in receptions (103) and the conference in receiving yards (1,294), and offensive lineman Zach Shackelford, who started every game in 2019 for the Longhorns, were named to the Big 12’s first-team all-conference lineup. Meanwhile, senior safety Brandon Jones and sophomore offensive lineman Samuel Cosmi earned second-team honors. Only Kansas received received less all-conference accolades than Texas, earning two, according to Hookem.
