Former Austin American-Statesman photographer Nick Wagner is suing the handlers and owners of Bevo XV for negligence after the Texas Longhorns mascot made a matador-like pass at him prior to the 2019 Sugar Bowl, in which Texas beat the Georgia Bulldogs.

Per the Statesman’s report, Wagner is seeking between $200,000 and $1 million in damages. He claims Bevo caused him “permanent injuries,” according to the lawsuit.
Wagner left the Statesman in May, the Statesman reports.
