LONG BEACH, Calif. – Texas Beach Volleyball wrapped up it's first competition day of the season with matches against Long Beach State and Cal State Northridge in the LBSU Tournament at Long Beach City College.
The Longhorns were swept by Long Beach State to start the day but came up just short of taking down CSUN in the second match of the day.
Macey Butler and Kelly McCloskey were the first Texas pair to win on the season, beating CSUN's Buckley/Sweeting, 2-0 on Court No. 4. Presley Wright and Hannah Ogden also pulled out a win, 2-1, over Miles/Lindhart in thrilling fashion on the third court.
