Beach Volleyball makes more history at Heineken Queen's Cup

HONOLULU, Hawaii – Texas Beach Volleyball came up just short of the program's first duel match win on Day 2 of the Heineken Queen's Cup at Queen's beach on Saturday.

The Longhorns lost to Nebraska, 3-2, in the day's first match before falling to No. 11 California, 5-0, in the second match.

The pair of Keonilei Akana and Devin Kahahawai, both playing in their home state of Hawaii, picked up the first win in Texas Beach Volleyball history. Akana and Kahahawai defeated Harpar Murray and Merritt Beason, 21-17, 23-21.

On court five, the Longhorn duo of Jordyn Byrd/Jenna Wenaas picked up a win over Masie Boesiger/Andi Jackson.
