AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball clinched the series win over No. 14 Texas Tech with a 6-5 walk-off win on Saturday afternoon at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (17-7, 2-0) went into the bottom of the ninth tied 5-5 with the Red Raiders before Porter Brown doubled, moved to third on a balk and scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch.
Texas will go for the sweep of Texas Tech on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
Brown finished the game 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and one run scored.
