AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball held on for a narrow 4-3 win to even the series with BYU on Friday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (19-13, 7-4) will go for the series win over the Cougars on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
Ace Whitehead started and pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits to pick up his third win of the season. He finished one shy of his career high with six strikeouts.
Gage Boehm was perfect in relief to pick up his third save of the season.
