Baseball drops series opener at Cal State Fullerton

FULLERTON, Calif. – Texas Baseball dropped the series opener to Cal State Fullerton, 6-5, on Friday night at Goodwin Field.

The Longhorns (3-6) and Titans (3-4) were tied 5-5 going into the bottom of the eighth inning before the game-winning run scored on a two-out wild pitch.

Peyton Powell started at first base and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and his first home run of the season. Eric Kennedy, Jack O'Dowd, Mitchell Daly and Tanner Carlson each had two hits in the game.
