AUSTIN, Texas—Texas Baseball (12-9, 3-0 Big 12) completed its three-game sweep of Kansas (12-7, 0-3) with a 5-4 win on Sunday afternoon at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. With the win, the Longhorns move to 3-0 in Big 12 Conference action.
Junior Masen Hibbeler had a busy first frame for Texas. After fielding three groundouts in a 1-2-3 first inning, the shortstop took the first pitch he saw over the left field wall for his first career home run, giving Texas a 1-0 lead.
Duke Ellis followed with a walk before Kody Clemens blasted a two-run homer over the right field wall to put the Longhorns out in front 3-0 after one.
