AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball bounced back with a big 10-2 win over Baylor to even the series on Saturday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Longhorns (14-9, 3-2) will go for the series win over the Bears on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Ace Whitehead pitched a complete game in his first ever weekend start, tossing all nine innings and allowing just two runs on six hits. He struck out five batters and issued one walk to pick up his second win of the season.
After allowing a run in the second and a run in the third, Whitehead went on to retire 13-straight batters from the fourth into the eighth inning.
