AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball opened its 14-game homestand with a 7-5 win over Sam Houston on Tuesday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (5-7) will be right back at the ballpark on Wednesday to face Mercer at 6:30 p.m. at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
Peyton Powell had a career-high three hits and went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI. Garret Guillemette went 2-for-3 with one run scored and Jack O'Dowd was 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Lebarron Johnson Jr. made his third-consecutive midweek start, pitching six innings with just two earned runs allowed.
