AUSTIN, Texas – Porter Brown hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to lead Texas Baseball to a 6-2 to open Big 12 Conference play on Friday night at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (16-7, 1-0) trailed 2-1 after the top of the sixth before scoring two runs in the bottom half and three more runs in the eighth inning to create some separation.
Zane Morehouse pitched 3.2 perfect innings out of the bullpen to improve to 3-0 on the season. He came into a jam in the sixth inning with a runner on and one out and got out of it.
