AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball blasted Houston Baptist, 13-3, in seven innings on Tuesday night at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Longhorns (32-16) scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back.
Zane Morehouse started and pitched two perfect innings with two strikeouts. He improved to 2-0 as the designated starter.
Ivan Melendez went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two walks, two RBI and three runs scored. Ace Whitehead made his first career start and went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and one run scored. Murphy Stehly was 2-for4 with a two-run homer in the first inning.
