WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Texas junior kicker Bert Auburn was named to the Lou Groza Award watch list, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced on Wednesday. It is the first time in his career that Auburn has landed on the preseason watch list for the award that annually honors college football's top place-kicker.
Auburn is a third-year kicker who has appeared in 14 games who was named honorable mention All-Big 12 in 2022. Last season, the Flower Mound, Texas native converted 21-of-26 field goal attempts (80.8%) and all 55 point after tries on the way to ranking second in the Big 12 Conference with 118 points scored.
