From the Hook ‘Em Horns, to the Eyes of Texas and Texas Fight, to Smokey the Cannon firing after a Longhorn touchdown, Texas has a multitude of traditions. But it's Bevo -- the school’s mascot -- that stands out as the Longhorns’ best tradition.

Bevo, a Longhorn steer, has been the University of Texas’ mascot since 1916 and began making appearances at football games in 1966.
