AUSTIN, Texas – University of Texas track sprinter Julien Alfred has been named to the Bowerman Preseason Watch List. The award is presented annually by the USTFCCCA to the most outstanding male and female NCAA track and field athlete.
The 2022 NCAA 100m and 4x100 outdoor champion has been named to the watch list four times in her career, with Tuesday's honor being the first preseason appearance for the St. Lucia native.
Alfred was a 2022 semifinalist for the award after her undefeated 100m season during outdoor competition.
Tuesday's honor marks the 43rd time a Longhorn female has been named to the list and is just the 10th individual athlete to make it on the list.
