AUSTIN -- Tom Herman's recruiting philosophy for Texas hasn't changed since he arrived from Houston in December 2016.
"So, I've said it and will say it until I'm blue in the face," Herman said this week. "In a perfect world, we would find 25 players every year that we feel like you can win championships with from the state of Texas that want to come to Texas, and that would be our signing class every year."
Some years that might be more players from Houston or east Texas or central Texas or Dallas, Herman said, depending on the talent available.
