On Wednesday, Pearland Shadow Creek linebacker Terrence Cooks officially opted to join former teammate Xavion Alford, a freshman Spur, by signing with the Texas Longhorns on Early Signing Day.
The 6’2, 210-pounder was seen as a Texas lean throughout most of his recruitment, but a late offer from the LSU Tigers added additional drama to the process. However, Cooks eventually did pick Texas in mid-November from a final group that included the Texas A&M Aggies, Georgia Bulldogs and Oklahoma Sooners.
