It is getting close to the time where new head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff will turn the focus almost exclusively to the 2023 Texas football recruiting class. That means that Texas needs to get the 2023 class off the ground in the not too distant future. Texas has yet to land its first commit that stuck in the 2023 class.
In fact, the only commit that Sark and the Longhorns ever held in the 2023 class was more than three months ago with the elite five-star El Campo running back Rueben Owens. But a bunch of other key 2023 Longhorns targets among high school prospects are coming to the forefront of late.
