On Tuesday, the Texas Longhorns added another talented, versatile athlete to the 2019 recruiting class with the commitment of Odessa Permian product Peyton Powell:
Texas made a huge surge in Powell’s recruitment following an official visit for the Baylor game on October 13. Powell’s first trip to Austin clearly made an impression, especially given that Powell committed to the Horns only 10 days later.
Since Powell’s visit for the Baylor game, there were more than 15 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions cast in favor of Texas, despite official visits to Ohio State and TCU.
“It was amazing,” Powell told the Austin American-Statesman.
