2025 four-star DL Brandon Brown commits to Texas over 40 other offers

Commitments from Clemson Tigers transfer safety Andrew Mukuba and a flip from Florida Gators safety pledge Xavier Filsaime had Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian tweeting “on a HEATER” less than 24 hours ago.

Since then, the Longhorns have made two additions to the 2025 recruiting class in Calhoun (Ga.) tight end Emaree Winston on Monday and Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie defensive lineman Brandon Brown on Tuesday in an unexpected decision.

The 6’1.5, 286-pounder committed to Texas over 40 other offers, including Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and USC, among others.
