2023 DeSoto(TX) four star wide receiver Johntay Cook II announced this evening that he has narrowed his list of top schools down to twelve.
Cook is the 8th ranked wide receiver prospect in the country according to 247Sports’ composite rankings and is the 45th ranked prospect overall.
Cook’s list of schools includes the Longhorns and the competition is absolutely stacked with some of the premier programs in the country including Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and USC.
Cook has been a priority for the Steve Sarkisian’s staff since the moment they arrived in Austin and were able to start recruiting with a Longhorn logo on their chest, but if they want to be able to land the talented wide out they will need more of what we saw today in Austin in the win against Louisiana.
