Austin — The University of Texas posted an all-time school-best, as 15 student-athletes were named recipients of the 12th annual Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award, the Big 12 Conference's highest academic honor, on Wednesday. The 15 honorees surpasses the previous high of seven set in 2011 and equaled in 2018 and 2021. Texas has now had 68 all-time student-athletes receive this prestigious honor.
This year's honorees cover seven programs with Men's Swimming & Diving posting the most with five (Andrew Couchon, David Johnston, Daniel Krueger, Charlie Scheinfeld, Matt Willenbring).
