Who's on their way to Austin? Find out in our Texas Football Recruiting: Rumors Roundup For Thursday 1/15.

Five-star RB Soso Jamabo sets official visit to Austin

2015 five-star Plano West (TX) running back Soso Jamabo has set his official visit to the University of Texas for January 23rd, per a Horns247 confirmation.

According to Colt Barber of Horns247, "Texas assistant coach Tommie Robinson was by Plano West High School on Thursday morning to visit with Jamabo and the details were set for Jamabo to start his official visit to Texas following West's basketball game on the evening of Jan. 23."

Jamabo (6'3", 210 lbs) is the 27th-ranked prospect in the nation according to 247Sports and the 5th-ranked player out of the state of Texas.

Texas A&M attempting to get a leg up on the Longhorns

Four-star Gilmer (TX) cornerback Kris Boyd has narrowed his school list down to a final four of Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, and Alabama, and the Aggies are doing their best to get a jump on the competition by visiting Boyd at his high school.

Per Brian Perroni of Horns247, new defensive coordinator John Chavis went to East Texas to meet with Boyd along with A&M defensive backs coach Terry Joseph and defensive line coach Terry Price.

Boyd is slated to visit Austin this weekend and A&M the weekend after. It's likely Texas A&M wanted to put the full-court press on Boyd before he hit campus at UT in order to keep the Aggies in the front of his mind.

Patrick Vahe to visit Austin this weekend

Four-star Euless (TX) center Patrick Vahe reportedly postponed his official visit to Austin this weekend due to personal problems, but it appears that's not the case any longer.

According to Colt Barber of Horns247, "on Wednesday afternoon, Horns247 learned that the four-star offensive lineman's visit would still take place this weekend as originally planned."

The six-foot-three, 300-pounder has been committed to the Texas Longhorns since July of 2013.
