The Texas Longhorns and new head coach Charlie Strong are bringing college football recruiting into the 21st Century with some creative techniques on the trail.

Per Colt Barber of 247Sports, "on Tuesday afternoon a flurry of several "mini-me" player cutouts sent out by the Texas Longhorns were making their way into the homes of 2015 prospects and commitments. The cutouts are a very unique piece and could be given to friends and family similar to a trading card."

Along with the cutouts, both pictures and photo edits of current 2015 Texas Longhorns recruits were released on Twitter and other avenues of social media. The pictures became an instant hit, garnering a ton of shares from fans and recruits alike.

Charlie Strong's recruiting techniques are likely to bear fruit if they keep on this current track, augmenting the normal call-and-visit system with a fresh way of approaching high-school stars.
