The Texas Longhorns have poached a safety recruit from the LSU Tigers. Four-star S Caden Sterns Rising announced on Twitter that he's flipping his commitment from LSU to Texas.

Rising is the No. 39 overall recruit in the nation. The No. 4 safety hails from Texas, where he's the No. 5 recruit.
It's a nice get for Texas and poaching him from LSU is just icing on the cake. He has the potential to be one of the better defensive players for Texas in the near future.
The addition of Rising gives Texas eight recruits for the class of 2018. They rank 10th nationally in the 247Sports rankings. The Tigers still have 15 and rank 3rd.
