TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Jordan Jones had 15 points and five assists, and No. 10 Texas A&M survived a late rally to beat Alabama 59-56 on Thursday night.
Jones' teammate Courtney Walker finished with 14 points after scoring eight in the final quarter to help Texas A&M (15-5, 5-2 SEC) withstand a 9-2 run in the middle of the period that gave Alabama (13-8, 2-6) a lead with less than three minutes to play.
Jones took a charge from Alabama's Karyla Middlebrook in the final seconds, and Alabama's potential game-winning bucket was waved off.
Texas A&M outrebounded the Crimson Tide 23-12 in the first half, and finished the game with 41-28 advantage on the boards.
