When Texas A&M signed wide receiver Jhamon Ausbon in 2017, many believed he could eventually be one of the Aggies' top offensive threats.
This offseason, A&M needed Ausbon and the other young wide receivers to step up after Christian Kirk and Damion Ratley departed for the pros. And while Ausbon may not have made all the big plays in last Saturday's loss to No. 2 Clemson, he's certainly made an impression on new coach Jimbo Fisher.
Between his route running, blocking and leadership, Fisher said the Houston native is the leader of the Aggies' receiving corps.
"He sets the tone for those guys," Fisher said Wednesday night during his weekly radio show in College Station.
