Five Texas A&M football assistants, including defensive coordinator Mike Elko, still do have not finalized contracts with the universities.
As of last week, Elko and four other assistants did not have official deals with A&M. An open records request submitted on Oct. 19 yielded no final contracts for Elko and assistants Maurice Linguist, Dameyune Craig, Elijah Robinson and Jay Graham.
Because deals with those five men are not official, the university has not released their salary figures, citing an exception to the state's open record act. In January, Yahoo! reported Elko and A&M agreed to a three-year deal that pays him an average of $1.
