Texas A&M has two key spots to fill at linebacker following the departures of Otaro Alaka and Tyrel Dodson, but an emerging third-year player could finally step up as the Aggies top linebacker during spring practice -- Buddy Johnson.
Johnson, a Dallas Kimball product, has made nine career starts as the rover in his first two seasons in Aggieland, but he might be expected to be the lead linebacker moving forward.
During his first two seasons, Johnson showed great flashes, getting downhill well to make plays at the line of scrimmage and in the backfield.
