Despite a deep postseason run last year, the Texas A&M men's basketball team was picked to finish 12th by the media in the SEC's preseason poll released on Wednesday.
The Aggies are coming off a 22-13 (9-9 SEC) campaign, which ended with a trip to the Sweet 16.
No Aggies were named to Preseason All-SEC teams as A&M lost all-conference players Robert Williams and Tyler Davis to the NBA Draft. The Aggies' top returning players are guards Admon Gilder and TJ Starks of Dallas Madison and Lancaster, respectively.
A youthful A&M squad will have to contend against a deep league in 2018-19.
