Now that the rivalry is mostly reduced to arguing on Twitter about which team is superior, the matchup between Texas and Texas A&M football cannot come back fast enough for those who never wanted the game to be removed from the schedule in the first place.
The game has not been played since 2011. The Aggies warned Texas for years if the Big 12 did not do a better job of sharing revenues and not showing favoritism to the Longhorns that we would leave for a better conference. Sure enough, the Longhorn Network was the straw that broke the camel’s back and Texas A&M said goodbye and joined the SEC.
