Could you imagine the 2018-19 Texas A&M basketball season ending any other way? It was difficult to be optimistic when it came to Billy Kennedy’s squad that finished the regular season 14-18 overall and 7-13 in conference play.
They weren’t going to make the NCAA Tournament. They weren’t going to make the NIT. They weren’t going to make any of the other nondescript postseason college basketball tournaments. Their only hope for postseason play was a miraculous run to win the SEC Tournament, without their best point guard, who didn’t elevate the team much even when he was playing.
