Texas A&M Basketball should not be entering the 2019-20 season with a great deal of high expectations after a lousy 2018-19 season that saw head coach Billy Kennedy get fired, as the 2019-20 SEC Basketball preseason poll was certainly reflective of that lack of expectations.
For starters, the Aggies were picked to finish 12th out of 14 teams in the Preseason poll. The only teams projected to finish worse than the Aggies are Vanderbilt and Missouri.
The Aggies return a couple of starters, most notably T.J. Starks. Although the Aggies return a good deal of veteran production, zero Aggies were picked to any of the SEC Conference preseason teams.
