Brigham Hill got the Aggies off to a great start, striking out the side in the top of the first. Nick Choruby picked up where he left off in Houston, rocketing a leadoff double into the right field corner. Two batters later he scored on a groundout from Braden Shewmake to give the Aggies a 1-0 lead. And they didn’t look back, sort of.
Texas A&M would put up runs in four of the first five innings and had their way early with an arm that stumped North Carolina last weekend. A Hunter Coleman two run blast off the score board in the fifth seemed to put this one away for good, but that was before the Wildcats responded with three runs of their own in the sixth and two more in the seventh.
