Texas A&M starting quarterback Kyle Allen announced via Twitter on Thursday night that he was transferring and that creates problems for Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin.
Texas A&M isn’t exactly deep at quarterback now. True freshman Kyler Murray was one of the top quarterbacks in the 2015 signing class and will start in the Music City Bowl after starting three times during the regular season. But there’s not much behind Murray: The depth chart reads Murray, Jake Hubenak and walk-ons. So, where do Sumlin and Texas A&M turn next?
It’s mid-December and the Aggies currently have 18 commitments for their recruiting class; none are quarterbacks.
