Texas A&M rewarded defensive coordinator Mike Elko after his first season in College Station.
Elko received a raise this offseason and is set to make $2.1 million in 2019, according to sources familiar with the deal.
Terms of the deal were not immediately available on Tuesday afternoon.
Elko's new salary makes him one of the highest-paid coordinators in the country. The increased figure places Elko third in the country among those in USA Today's salary database. Elko moves ahead of Auburn's Kevin Steele, who reportedly earned $2.05 million in 2018.
Elko was part of coach Jimbo Fisher's first staff at A&M.
