Update, May 12: Interim athletic director R.C. Slocum's son was discharged from Texas Children's Hospital in Houston on May 5. In Texas A&M's AD's Monthly Yell email, Slocum gave an update on his son:
"Words cannot express the thankfulness we feel for the expert care he received from the EMS team, the Midland Memorial Hospital and Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. John Harvey walked out of Texas Children's just a week after being legally dead and being put into an induced coma to save his life. The Great Healer used these people to accomplish a modern-day miracle.
