The SEC had several near misses in week nine, but one team announced themselves as the clear number one. That's the team that has been number one in these rankings for quite some time now, of course: the Texas A&M Aggies.
While the rest of the conference struggles and jostles for positioning, Texas A&M is beginning to move into the stratosphere. There's a lot more football to be played, but as of right now, there's some separation there.
