ATLANTA -- The way Nick Saban remembers it, there was no competition between him and Jimbo Fisher when both men were at LSU.
"We were on the same team," Saban said of a time when he coached the Tigers and Fisher was his offensive coordinator. "We were both trying to win."
Even if Saban's defense and Fisher's offense went at in practice, Saban didn't see it as a matchup between adversaries. But now that Fisher has joined Saban in the SEC West, expect that to change.
For most of the last 17 years he's coached in the SEC, the Alabama coach has been the measuring stick for the rest of the conference, a fact Fisher will face during his time at Texas A&M.
