Three of Billy Gillispie's former schools comprise nearly one-fourth of the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16, but which of them he foresees advancing to next week's Final Four in San Antonio might surprise you.
Hint: It is not the school that is making its NCAA-record 43rd Sweet 16 appearance and has has made 17 Final Fours and won eight championships.
During a phone interview with The News on Wednesday, Ranger College athletic director Gillispie emphasized that he means no disrespect to Kentucky. It's just that, in his opinion, Texas A&M and Texas Tech have superior talent to the Wildcats'.
