Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher is reportedly adding Mike Elko to his coaching staff as the team's defensive coordinator.
Per Billy Liucci of TexAgs.com and Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports, the Aggies are expected to hire Elko away from Notre Dame.
Texas A&M was pursuing LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda for the position, but he agreed to a new deal to stay with the Tigers on Wednesday.
Elko was hired at Notre Dame in December 2016. The Fighting Irish finished 31st in FBS with 21.5 points allowed per game in his first season with the program.
