LSU officially set to lose team captain and top defender for game against A&M

After rumors flying all week regarding his availability, Whit Weeks is officially out for the game against Texas A&M this weekend, according to a report by Matt Zenitz.

LSU star linebacker Whit Weeks (ankle) will miss tomorrow’s game against No. 3 Texas A&M, sources tell @CBSSports.

On a positive note, it’s considered likely that Weeks will be back for the Tigers’ next game, which is against No. 4 Alabama, per sources. pic.twitter.com/FbHyZF6qOs— Matt Zenitz (@mzenitz) October 24, 2025

Weeks is one of the best defenders on this LSU team— though he's had a down year in 2025 by this metric, he was the leading tackler for the Tigers last season by far.
