Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin has named longtime college and high school coach Tam Hollingshead as the Aggies’ director of high school relations, a newly created position.
“He has great relations with the Texas high school football coaches and will do a great job,” Sumlin said in a statement announcing the hiring.
Hollingshead has spent the past eight years working at his alma mater, SMU. He was promoted to director of external operations in early 2015 after previously working as the director of high school relations. Before joining SMU, Hollingshead spent two seasons at Temple (Texas) High and three as the inaugural coach at Rockwall (Texas) Heath.
